Hi there. We take the view that Paul’s instructions are for corporate worship gatherings of the church. Beginning in chapter 11 and moving through chapter 15, the bulk of Paul’s instruction is about how God’s people behave in corporate gatherings, and his instructions that follow about the Lord’s Table strongly suggest that ”praying and prophesying” is in the corporate worship context. Consequently, neither of our wives cover during the week or when they are not attending a corporate gathering.

Hi! I really appreciate you covering this topic again! Would you explain what you feel the scripture is calling for when women are praying at home? I cover most of the day because the scripture speaks of covering while praying and I tend to pray on a whim many times through the day. (Before I discipline my toddler, while doing dishes, while driving, unexpectedly running into somone I know, etc) These are all very inconvenient times to stop, grab a cover and put it on. Help! Thanks
